Sir Gareth Edwards
Throughout his life Sir Gareth has been a dedicated angler and as a small boy he grew up in the mining village of Gwaun-cae-Gurwen where he caught his first trout in the village stream. The magical beauty of that first fish, despite a mouth black with coal dust, inspired Sir Gareth’s passion for fish and fishing. Read more >
Lord Botham OBE
Lord Botham OBE is widely regarded as one of the greatest all-rounders in cricket history. Besides cricket, Botham is an avid trout and salmon angler and has been a phenomenal fundraiser for charitable causes – including 12 long-distance charity walks – his first being a 900-mile trek from John o’ Groats to Land’s End in 1985. Robson Green is a renowned British actor, presenter and is passionate about fishing & the protection of salmon and sea trout. As a fishing presenter, Robson Green has fronted shows such as Extreme Fishing, Extreme Fishing Challenge, during which time he had many a close encounter with various creatures from the deep including a Great White Shark and that was the day Jesus wasn’t the only man to have walked in water. Jim Murray
Jim Murray is an avid angler and actor who is passionate about wild Atlantic salmon. In 2019, Jim Murray narrated Henry Williamson’s Salar the Salmon on Amazon Audible for the AST, and donated the proceeds to the Trust. Jim is a nailed on devotee not only to its conservation, but also a proud advocate of the mental health benefits the sport can offer the young and old alike. Read More >
Marina Gibson
Marina Gibson is a certified FFI casting instructor, fishing guide, passionate conservationist and one of the best known angling personalities in the UK. In 2019 she founded the Northern Fishing School at Swinton Estate in North Yorkshire, which now teaches over 400 people a year the art of fly fishing. Marina is also a co-founder of the Cancer and Pisces Trust charity, which aims to improve the lives of cancer sufferers through the therapeutic pastime of angling, fostering connections between nature and communities. Will and Al Peake
Twin brothers Will and Al Peake share a passion for fly fishing, adventure and the great outdoors. Both fly fishing guides and casting instructors, they decided to explore further opportunities to promote the sport. Craig Somerville
Craig has spent a lifetime immersed in the fishing world. As a mere boy he would disappear off into the hills of Argyll for days at a time, a fly rod and air rifle strapped to his aging dirt bike. Living and breathing fishing, Craig became a highly accomplished flyfisher, developed a particular passion for salmon, and a keen eye for photography. Read More >

Matt Harris has been a fly-fishing photographer and journalist for over twenty years, having shot images and articles for advertising campaigns and editorials all around the world. Matt has been fishing since he caught a small perch when he was seven years old, and he has been hooked ever since. Read More >
John Olav Oldren
John Olav Oldren joined our ambassadors team as our first member from Norway and, along with his wife and family, has been running Tingvoll Salmon Fishing on the river Verdal since 2004. John Olav was elected as river manager by the river owners of the Verdal river in 2001 and is still the manager to this day, having been active in a huge range of conservation initiatives on the river. Robert Mitchell
Robert Mitchell is a renowned River Spey salmon fishing ghillie at The Macallan, with a passion for the environment and the conservation of the River Spey’s wild Atlantic salmon. Robert played a key role in enabling our partnership with The Macallan and helped to facilitate this partnership through the Moray Firth Tracking Project. Read More >
Lara Stroh
As our first ambassador from Germany, we are delighted to welcome Lara Stroh to our ambassadors team. Lara was born into a passionate fishing family, beginning a connection to her local rivers at a young age where she spent her time catching grayling and trout. When she was 15, she tried salmon fishing for the first time and was immediately gripped with a special passion for the species. Read More >
