AST Annual Auction
Wild Atlantic salmon are going, going, gone…
Wild Atlantic salmon are disappearing from our seas and rivers at an alarming rate—and, without intervention, they will become extinct in just 20 to 30 years. To prevent this fate, we urgently need to carry out scientific research to understand their decline, and put evidence-based solutions into practice. But we need your support.
In a bid to save our salmon, we created the AST Annual Auction.
This exciting, eagerly awaited fundraising event takes place annually. It is hosted entirely online, allowing you to peruse the lots and place your bids from the comfort of your own home.
Each year, lots are generously donated by supporters of the Trust. The lots typically fall into the following categories:
- Fishing trips & accessories
- Shooting excursions
- Getaways (UK and abroad)
- Artwork & sculptures
- Unique experiences & tours
In the past, we’ve had some very sought-after lots—including paintings by famous artists, limited-edition flies and reels, and trips to Norway, Iceland, and even a Kenyan safari. Whatever your interest or your destination of choice, there is, truly, something for everyone.
The funds raised during our annual auction go towards our goal of putting wild salmon first, ensuring that we are able to continue delivering our core research projects—including the Moray Firth Tracking Project and the West Coast Tracking Project. To all our donors and bidders, past and future, your support is very much appreciated and makes a huge difference.
