The Missing Salmon Alliance is a partnership of the leading non-governmental organisations involved in salmon conservation across the United Kingdom. At the core of this partnership is a project to build a statistical framework to conceptualise the pressures on salmon during their freshwater and ocean migrations. This is the Likely Suspects Framework for Atlantic salmon. Managed by The Atlantic Salmon Trust, the core project team is building systems to mobilise existing data and facilitate new analysis to support current and future salmon management. We are now looking to appoint a Technical Research Assistant to this core team to support this process. This 12-month full-time position will require skills in data science and quantitative ecology, possibly suiting a recent graduate or early career scientist.
