Today the Atlantic Salmon Trust’s #themissingsalmonproject research team deployed the final receivers in the Moray Firth Tracking Project. It’s taken just over 2 weeks to position a total of 358 receivers in the rivers Deveron, Spey, Findhorn, Ness, Conon, Oykel and Shin, the inner and outer Moray Firth ready to detect over 850 salmon smolts as they begin their migration to their marine feeding grounds.
